Back in the summer of 2006 when Ty was just 3 years old, we visited a historical farm that reconstructed the physical environment of an early 20th century family farm in the NC piedmont. It was very authentic. So, needless to say there were no bells and whistles. We walked around, looking at the animals, grinding corn, dying fabric with vegetables - Cooper was fascinated the entire time. As we made our way down to the garden area, Ty stopped walking and threw up his hands - completely exasperated. We turned around to see whatever could be the matter with him, as he cried out,
“What IS this place?! They’ve got ROCKS FOR STAIRS, and NO HOLDER-ONNERS!”
