Love Actually

“To me, you are perfect”   *sigh*

Kris and I saw this movie last year while putting away the Christmas decorations, and decided we’d watch it together every year.  I think we’ll watch it tonight after we get home from looking at Christmas lights with the boys.  We’re going to bundle them up in their PJs and drive around  to look at the displays.

It’s almost Christmas Eve!  Wheeeeeee!

All I Want for Christmas…

2nd favorite Christmas song – and I’m not even a Mariah fan.   But I just can’t help singing my heart out ever time I hear it.  (Probably much to my family’s chagrin…)

I know posting here has been light – but we’re too caught up in the holiday spirit!  No time!  🙂

I’m wishing it would snow!  These pics are from 2004 – Ty was just 2, and Cooper was 4…

Bodie

Missing our old dog Bodie tonight.  We put up the Christmas tree, and I realized it would be our first Christmas without him in 15 years.  He was a good dog, and before the boys were born he was almost like a child to me and Kris.  Of course once Coop and Ty came along our priorities changed – clearly human children take precedence over the canine variety, but he always held a special place in our hearts and in our home.  Luckily, Scout came to live with us before he passed away – and I like to think he taught her a thing or two before he left this world.  This picture of the two of them was taken just a couple of months before he died.  I haven’t seen it in a while, and I just love it.  I miss his sweet face.
