flashback Friday – Grease edition…

If you were a little girl in the 70’s, the movie Grease probably played a role in your development in some way, big or small.  I still have my record of the soundtrack (yeah, I said record).  It’s all marked up from where my friends and I would perform the songs for whoever would listen.  We always argued over who would be Sandy.

And if you were a little girl in the 70’s and have ever been to a club and the DJ plays this song?  I KNOW you were out on that dance floor like greased lightning. (see what I did there? Heh)  There’s one other song that has the same effect on women my age…  and it’s Dancing Queen.  You know it’s true.  And Kris has lovingly suffered through both with me on many occasions.

(this is especially true right now, as we are painting inside the house and everything is in disarray.  Sigh.)

I believe this to be true, really I do.  And I have loved our small house for the past ten years.  Adored living here and raising our little family.  HOWEVER.           Enough’s enough, really.  Mama needs one more bedroom and another bathroom please, that’s all I want – I don’t need a mansion…

Posting has been, and probably will continue to be light as we work on getting this house ready to sell.  And with all the end of year school stuff coming to a head, planning a baby shower, planning vacation and summer camps – I’m just entirely too busy.  Calgon, take me awaaayyyyyy…

There’s a little girl in Ty’s class, cute as a bug and so sweet and funny.  She and Ty became fast friends at the beginning of the year, they’re always playing together, and they even have nicknames. They call each other “Aye Carumba”.  As in, “Hi Aye Carumba”… “Oh hi, Aye Carumba!”  (I have no idea)

Anyway, I received the following email from her dad last night…

I hope that Ty still lives in the area when Sophie is 35, as that is when we have determined that she will begin dating.

Easter 2006
